24 students arrested at a party in Kenya
Twenty four students allegedly caught having sex, smoking and drinking alcohol were arrested in Eldoret, Kenya on Wednesday March 1st.
The police raided the location after been alerted by the residents at Kapsoya estate who had been disturbed by the loud music coming from the compound where the students from various schools were celebrating a friends' birthday.
Kapsoya OCS Daniel Sindindi said that they found condoms and mattresses in the house.
He said "We are investigating the incident. We are also looking for the owner of the house where the students were gathered," "the students' parents were also summoned to hep with investigations".
He added “We are going to question one by one in front of their parents then we can release them. They will also be given bond. We are also going to interrogate the owners of the house before we can prefer charges against them.”
Let it be known that for now all public schools are on a mid-term break and it has been a norm in the country for students to have parties during breaks but now parents are getting worried about student parties and gatherings during shool term breaks.
