THE Tanzanian Flag |
Tanzania my country, my home, the land that my feet touched the first day i started to walk, the land that has largely influenced my way of life, my peaceful country.
So we hold our general elections this 25th October, things started out very rocky in January but we have made it to July and we have 3 months left to fill up the voting polls and vote. The ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has received 38 forms from 38 candidates vying for the presidential candidacy (let me rewrite this in words - Thirty Eight candidates)
Today CCM commences their sessions to filter the 38 candidates and choose only 5 candidates whose names will be submitted to the National Electoral commission of Tanzani (NEC) or famously known as "Tume ya Taifa ya Uchanguzi" and the sessions will continue until 3 candidates are chosen to run for presidency under the ruling party.
Unfortunately for these candidates, the party's regulations are silent as regards to the right to appeal on the decison but if they do, where's the time anyway?!
These sessions/meetings will be held at the CCM Headquarters in Dodoma.
Let us wait and see who goes through to the final 5, and lastly final 3.
For the mean time...they wait...
And hope they do not collapse due to high/low blood pressure since some of them have surely gone through a lot of places these past few months. Waiting brings lot of stress especially when you determine the amount of resources you have used..mh..goodluck!
